During her final year she was awarded a first class honours for her dissertation that investigated the best practice of clinical hygiene in a chiropractic clinic. She has since gained a wealth of experience, working for other practices in the midlands, before joining her sister Leanne, and mother Jeanette, to open a practice in Loughborough. Hayley is keen to develop the clinic and the services that we offer our patients. Hayley enjoys seeing the difference that Chiropractic can make to peoples’ lives, whether this is reducing acute back pain or maintaining good posture and helping to prevent problems. Alongside her interests in nutrition, Hayley is passionate about keeping fit generally and has taken part in the Cardiff & Leicestershire half marathons. She enjoys working with fellow sports enthusiasts and professional athletes to help them get the most out of their training. She is particularly proud to have been treating an athlete who was preparing for the 2012 Olympic games. Hayley is a member of the General Chiropractic Council and the British Chiropractic Association and uses mainly diversified techniques. Helen Barton BSc (Hons) DC LCC Chiropractor Helen graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2007, with honours, after which she completed the College of Chiropractors pre registration training scheme (PRTS) and received her Diploma of Chiropractic in 2009. Helen started her career as a chiropractor working in Burton on Trent and Leicester. She went on to work in Mansfield and Derby. In September 2013 she happily joined the team here at Loughborough Chiropractic Clinic. From 2007 to 2009 much of her continual professional development was focused on treating the pregnant patient, which is a special interest of Helen’s. She has also undertaken a number of courses on treating musculo-skeletal disorders with the use of manipulation and soft tissue work. In 2011 she completed a course in the use of acupuncture needles in treating muscular pain, allowing her to use dry needling as a modality. Helen has now taken on the role of a PRTs trainer, to help newly qualified chiropractors find their way in their own career, in order to give something back to a profession that she loves so much. Away from work Helen enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her daughter, as well as being part of her local amateur dramatics group. Carina Milne BSc (Hons) DC Chiropractor Carina graduated from the University of Glamorgan in 2003. Carina started her Chiropractic career in Derby where she continues to work on a part time basis. She joined the Loughborough team in April 2016. Her treatment techniques are mostly diversified, with the additional use of activator, drops and blocks. Soft tissue work and exercises are also an essential part of her treatment plan. She takes great satisfaction in treating patients on both a short term basis and on a preventive care programme. Carina is passionate about improving patients overall wellbeing concentrating largely on pain management. She believes that any one living in pain is not only difficult physically but can also be emotionally challenging. Her aim with treatment is to help not only with manual therapy but also to look at any other advice, rehabilitation or support that may be appropriate to each individual. Carina is a registered member of the General Chiropractic Council and of the British Chiropractic Association. Scott Eagle ADipSAL Sports Massage Therapist Scott qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist through Bedford University. He is currently a member with the Sports Massage Association (STO). Scott enjoys seeing the impact that massage therapy can have to prevent injury, maintain a healthy body and treat sports injuries and general issues that arise from everyday life. I work closely with the Chiropractors, referring patients to them and receiving referrals when in the best interests of the patient. I have two young sons, that keep me busy, when I have some spare time I enjoy attempting to play the guitar and following a myriad of sports. Jeanette Chalmers Practice Manager Jeanette Chalmers is our Clinic Manager and head receptionist. In addition to the overall management of the clinic she provides another friendly face on reception. Jeanette has a background in accountancy and has extensive experience in business management. She is a keen walker and has raised money for Loros, a local charity, by completing the Coast to Coast walk and The Highland Way. Chiropractor Receptionists Emma, Becky, Elaine and Allison are our ‘front of house’ at Loughborough Chiropractic Clinic. Either over the telephone or face to face our friendly reception team strive to provide an efficient service and a warm welcome. They live locally with their families and know Loughborough well. They all play a big part in producing the atmosphere we seek here, so that you can take the most from your experiences with us.
