CLICK HERE TO BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT Toggle navigation 01865 236353 info@centraloxfordosteo.co.uk Home About Us Our Team Our Testimonials Our News Treatments First Treatment What We Treat Prices & Hours Find & Contact Book Now Testimonials I came to see Jamie to address ongoing pain in my shoulder that had started out annoying, tight etc but got to the extent that it was painful even to roll onto my side in bed at night. The Central Oxford Osteopathy office was easy to find and conveniently located, opposite the train station. Jamie was welcoming and professional. He asked questions and examined the area and was able to explain clearly (in layperson speak ;-) what was going on. Jamie uses his expertise to diagnose and provide options to the patient, in terms of exercises and self –management of pain and and/or further professional treatment. After stretches, realignment, and massage, I was astounded I was able to sleep on that side and without pain the same week! I would highly recommend Central Oxford Osteopathy to anyone with pain and wish I had gone sooner! - Olivia I came to the clinic as I had a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders from working at a desk all week; I was having tension headaches every day which were interfering with my work and my sleep patterns. Treatment at the clinic was great - very thoughtful and professional, and everything was explained clearly to me. Jamie took the time to discuss my situation in detail and gave me some suggestions for how I could improve my posture with stretches once treatment was over; and 6 months after my first treatment this has definitely improved. After treatment I felt relaxed and my neck and shoulders felt much freer than they had in a long time, and the headaches disappeared. I come back to the clinic every time the tension returns, and would highly recommend the service here to friends and family. - Freya, 21 Before I contacted Jamie, I could barely walk and sit down after pulling my lower back very suddenly playing sport. My whole lower back was incredibly tense, and I was constantly worried that even the slightest movement would cause more damage and further intense jarring. After a few days of doubting that I had just 'pulled a muscle' and no sign of improvement I contacted the clinic and was seen within 24 hours. The location for me was perfect as I work at Oxford University Said Business School, so could easily manage to walk to the clinic. The treatment itself is never painful and I always feel at ease. From the first treatment I could feel an immediate improvement. I returned once a week for a number of weeks and was soon back to playing to sport and cycling into work. The best thing about my treatment experience was that Jamie determined the underlying cause of the problem straight away and worked on not only easing the symptoms very effectively but preventing it from happening again. One year on and I have not experienced the problem since. - Isabel, 27 I had pain in my lower back which was very tight, painful and restricted some movement. I also experienced tightness and pain in my neck. The location of the clinic is perfect for me and the treatments were done professionally. Jamie gives time to listen to the problem as well as treat my body. I find that the treatments have improved my pain and lessened the restriction of movement. I am feeling better from the treatments. - Michael, 38 Before visiting Central Oxford Osteopathy I rarely went a day when I wasn’t conscious about my back. Doing anything for long periods - walking, standing up, sitting down, driving were all uncomfortable. At least a couple of times a year my back would seize up and I wouldn’t be able to do anything because of the pain. Now, everything is different. I have had 4 sessions with Jamie and can’t believe the change. Now I know what was wrong with me (very clearly explained), and the treatment has made a massive difference. I now hardly notice my back. As long as I keep up my exercises I hope to be alright for a very long time. My partner says I no longer waddle like a duck, which is another positive! I would recommend Jamie and his clinic to anyone. - Hannah - How you felt prior to treatment (short description of your pain etc) Gradual contraction of tendons and muscles of the neck region over the past 10+ years resulted in chonic stiff neck and shoulders and scalp tension. - How you found the experience of being treated (location of clinic, treatment itself etc) I found Jamie personalised the treatment. He was always honest with regards whether something was working or not working and was very thoughtful and adaptable with his approach to the condition. Jamies treatment in combination with advice on stretches have helped improve my posture, flexibility and reduced the tension I was experiencing. - How you feel now after some treatment I continue to practice the stretches and can control my symptoms. Things have improved significantly. I have visited one physiotherapist which was not so helpful (contact recommended by GP) and one osteopath (Central Oxford Osteopathy - saw it on Groupon and thought I would give it a go). Based on these two experiences, I have no hesitation in recommending Jamie Dearing from Central Oxford Osteopathy and would continue to visit him when as/when needed in the future. - Paul, Lecturer, University of Oxford. When I first met Jamie, I had been suffering for about two years of severe pain in the right shoulder, arm and hand. The pain was affecting my concentration and study performances. I had tried many different therapists (physio, chiro and osteopaths) and hadn't got a permanent effective result. Since the first appointment with Jamie, everything was different. From that first session, my condition improved. I would strongly recommend him to somebody experiencing physical pain from posture, study, work, injury or accident reasons - Robert, Oxford graduate student This osteopath was recommended to me by a friend and he was very good. I have had a painful jaw for a year and he was able to free up my jaw and also the upper neck and shoulders which had become very affected by the jaw problem. I feel a million times better after just three treatments. - Kirsty, 35 1 2 3 Next Had a good experience? Our business grows by word of mouth.
