I strive for a rewarding career and becoming a McTimoney chiropractor has certainly fulfilled this. Before starting a career as a chiropractor, I worked as a carer and a nursing assistant at the John Radcliffe Hospital. I enjoyed my time in these roles and I loved helping people but I knew that this wasn't the lifetime career I wanted to pursue. My search for this continued. My journey of becoming a chiropractor began when I attended an open day at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Abingdon. This was where I observed a chiropractic treatment for the first time. I remember thinking how amazed I was by how gentle, specific and quick the adjustments were.I knew from that day forward that I had found a career that has the ability to positively change the lives of humans and animals. Qualifications & AssociationsI graduated from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in 2021 after completing a 5 year integrated masters degree in chiropractic. I thoroughly enjoyed this course and upon graduating, I completed a diploma in chiropractic with the Royal College of Chiropractors (RCC). Along aside working as a chiropractor, I continued my studies by completing a masters in animal manipulation which took 2 years to complete. I am a member of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association, McTimoney Animal Association, Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners (RAMP) and a licentiate member of the RCC. ChildhoodMy love for animals started at a very young age. I grew up on stud farms so I was always surrounded by horses. Observing and helping my father with the foaling season was a privilege and I looked forward to it each year. Watching a new born foal stand up on it's legs for the first time was a moment that you could not forget. I had multiple different pets when I was younger, including rabbits, dogs, cats, guinea-pigs, chickens and a pony. I started riding at 2 years old and enjoyed going out for rides with my mother. HobbiesI spend most of my days out in the countryside looking after my horse, Willow. She has now since retired but we took part in many dressage competitions and cross-country fun rides. I enjoy running and I completed the Oxford half marathon in 2018, along with 5k, 7k and 10k fun runs.
