Mark is the joint Managing Director of Moulton Johnson and now uses his wealth of knowledge of tax planning, audit and accountancy to solve a wide variety of challenging problems posed by our clients. Mark is well known and well respected by local business professionals and is a founding member of the Brentwood Professionals Networking Group.‍Mark’s time away from the office is spent enjoying time with his family and when he has any spare time, his interests involve socialising, supporting the England rugby and cricket teams and an occasional visit to West Ham United.‍ Ian Sutton ACA FCCADIRECTORIan joined Moulton Johnson in 2005 after having worked in the retail sector and graduating from the University of Kent. During his time with the firm, he has gained a great deal of experience in tax, audit and accounting for small and medium-sized businesses. Ian is now the joint Managing Director of Moulton Johnson Limited.‍Ian is a keen golfer and regularly travels overseas to pursue his hobby. He plays six-a-side football to a competitive level, has a season ticket at West Ham United and loves to watch Test Match cricket. Ian also enjoys spending time socialising with his family and friends.‍ Ian Johnson FCADIRECTORIan qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1975 with the same City firm as Peter. After qualifying, Ian worked for several years as an audit manager for Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now PwC) before joining Peter as a partner in 1982 running the Essex-based office of the Moulton Johnson practice. Ian has an extensive knowledge of accounting, audit, business systems, corporate and personal tax and business development strategies.‍Away from work, Ian has a wide range of musical interests (from opera to jazz) – he also plays the guitar and piano. He also is an avid follower of Essex County Cricket Club, an occasional but loyal supporter of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and enjoys foreign travel.‍ Peter Moulton FCAPeter has a great wealth of commercial and business development experience. He started the business of Moulton & Co soon after he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1974. Having trained with a medium-sized City firm with a national spread of clients, Peter spent 7 years in industry with the Lex Motor Group and Hertz Rentals. He returned to general practice in the early 1980s and for a number of years ran the Moulton Johnson practices in Surrey and Dorset. He is currently working as consultant to Moulton Johnson Limited developing our Essex-based business.‍Peter is keen sailing enthusiast (Heron dinghies) and musician (drummer and singer).‍ Lorraine CoatesLorraine joined the firm in 1990 as an accounts typist and personal assistant. Over the years, her skills have adapted to the firm’s needs and she now runs a variety of accounting, costing and payroll systems for the firm and its clients. She also helps our clients with personal tax, company secretarial and a wide range of other matters. Lorraine has assisted the directors in developing the firm and its client base over the years.‍Lorraine has a wide group of friends and enjoys socialising and travel.‍ Sarah-Jane AbrahamsSarah-Jane has been with us since 2007 and during her time with us she has become adept at running the firm’s and client’s accounting and costing systems. Sarah-Jane is always a calming influence over the Moulton Johnson team and our clients.‍Sarah-Jane spends most of her leisure time relaxing with her family and enjoys running and strength training.‍ Alex StaerckAlex provides support to our clients in areas such as payroll, bookkeeping, VAT and accounts. Alex is working towards obtaining his professional qualifications and is pleased to offer help and support to all our clients.‍Away from work, Alex is a keen supporter of Arsenal and attends as many games as possible.‍ Vicky MorrisVicky joined the firm in 2021, having worked with many small owner managed businesses over the past 20 years as a bookkeeper / accountant. She gained membership to the ACCA in 2018 whilst working in the property sector, making the move to practice in 2019.‍Away from work, Vicky likes to spend time with her friends and family and is a keen walker.‍ Holly CooperHolly provides support to our clients in areas such as payroll, bookkeeping, VAT and accounts.
