Leo is involved in general practice and specialises in personal and corporate tax, making him a vital asset to our team and clients. As an original founder of the firm, Leo’s extensive knowledge and dedication have been significant in shaping our firm’s success and reputation. Beyond the office, Leo is passionate about squash, gardening, and enjoys spending time with friends and family, particularly watching his kids play football. John Director John Director John qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1977, beginning his career at a firm in the City of London. After gaining valuable experience across various City firms, he founded his own practice in Margate in 1986. With decades of experience, John is highly knowledgeable in all areas of accountancy, offering exceptional insights and services to his clients. Outside the office, John likes jogging and walking. He also enjoys time spent with his family and friends and visiting Cyprus. Lewis Director Lewis Director Since joining the team in 2012, Lewis has been instrumental in helping clients achieve their personal and business goals. Lewis has distinguished himself as an accountant who not only possesses a wealth of knowledge and skills that are used within accounts and taxation, but also maintains excellent relationships with many clients. Lewis’ dedication and expertise led to his appointment as a Director in October 2021. Outside of work, Lewis enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his three cats, as well as engaging in sports, particularly football and golf. Jake Director Jake Director Jake became a key member of our team in May 2013, initially joining to train in our VAT and payroll departments. Jake decided to focus his development within the VAT department, after gaining invaluable experience in both areas. By November 2017, he was promoted to VAT Manager which saw him overseeing a busy VAT department, as well as working with clients to transform their bookkeeping and VAT procedures. Jake marked a significant milestone in his career with us when he was appointed Director in February 2023. Outside of the office, Jake enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends and has a passion for health and fitness. Jake is also a keen footballer, having played semi-professionally, representing both Whitstable Town Football Club and Ramsgate Football Club. Andy Business Consultant Andy Business Consultant Andy, one of the original founders of the company, played an important role in the business’s year-on-year growth until his departure in 2022. His decision to step away was driven by a desire for a better work-life balance, a move that allowed him to pivot into business coaching – a field where he has since excelled. As a seasoned business coach, Andy brings a wealth of expertise in sales, acquisitions, mergers, and financial restructuring. He specialises in helping businesses through difficult transitions, improving operations, and driving growth. Andy’s approach is based on empowering businesses to achieve their full potential while maintaining a keen focus on sustainability and adaptability. Outside of the office, Andy enjoys spending time with his friends and family, and has a passion for football, particularly non-league. Carly Accounts Manager Carly Accounts Manager Carly started her journey with MPH in March 2006, initially joining as a junior staff member. Over the years, she has worked through every department of the firm such as payroll, bookkeeping, VAT, and accounts and this extensive experience has led her to her current role as the Accounts Manager. With a valuable understanding of the firm’s various departments, Carly now ensures a smooth workflow within the accounts team with her attention to detail ensuring that all aspects of our clients’ financial accounts and tax responsibilities are completed with accuracy and care. Outside of work, Carly is a big sports fan. She loves playing basketball for a local team and cheers on Middlesbrough Football Club. When she’s not on the court or watching a match, Carly enjoys cooking for her friends and family, often with a beer or glass of wine in hand. Kellie Administration Manager Kellie Administration Manager Kellie joined us in June 2016 as part of our administration team, bringing with her an extensive background of over twelve years in administration and secretarial roles. By January 2021, Kellie stepped into the role of Administration Manager. Some of Kellie’s duties include the submission of various documents to Companies House and HMRC, handling changes in directorship and shareholding, forming new companies, responding to client enquiries, and ensuring the smooth running of the administration department. In her spare time, Kellie enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and much-loved cats. She enjoys socialising, as well as getting stuck into a good TV series. Oscar VAT Manager Oscar VAT Manager Oscar joined us in August 2015 and trained within different areas of the firm. After gaining experience in all departments, Oscar decided to continue his development within VAT and bookkeeping, and soon became an all-important addition to the team. By April 2024, Oscar welcomed the role as VAT Manager, and now oversees a busy VAT department. Away from the office, Oscar enjoys spending quality time with his friends and family. He is also an avid sports fan, with particular interest in Formula 1, UFC, and boxing. Oscar enjoys playing darts, and the occasional engagement in fitness. Gemma Senior Accountant Gemma Senior Accountant Gemma has been an integral part of our team since joining us in 2001. Gemma qualified as an Accounting Technician in 2005 and is now working towards completing her ATT qualification. Throughout her time, Gemma has contributed her skills and experience across various departments, including payroll, bookkeeping, VAT, and accounts preparation, giving her a good overall knowledge of the firm and how each department operates. Outside of work, Gemma is a keen netball player, having competed in the Thanet netball league with her team for more than two decades. Gemma also enjoys her time outdoors, whether that’s leisurely walks with her dog or embarking on camping adventures with her family. Mark Senior Accountant Mark Senior Accountant Mark trained with a firm of Chartered Accountants prior to joining a firm of Chartered Surveyors as Finance and Client Accounts Manager. Mark then moved to a FTSE100 company where he undertook senior roles including Divisional Finance Director and Contract Operations Manager as well as being a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Mark’s experience within both small and large organisations has provided him with a wealth of first-hand insight into business management/operation/finance to a senior level. More recently Mark has returned to Practice, joining the team at MPH as Senior Accountant in 2017. Mark has a keen interest in the beneficial use of IT systems and business software. Outside of work Mark enjoys hillwalking, kayaking and fishing. Mark is also an accomplished bellringer, having rung more than 650 peals and is a past Captain of the ringers at Canterbury Cathedral. Amber Accountant Amber Accountant Amber began her career in the accounting industry in 2016, with six years spent in practice followed by nearly two years in industry. Since joining us in October 2023, Amber has become a key addition to the accounts department, bringing with her experience and knowledge of accounts, tax, VAT, bookkeeping, and management accounting. Amber is currently part-qualified and has ambitions to be certified in the near future. In her spare time, Amber has a passion for long-distance running, and also enjoys music and exploring new food cuisines. Ashleigh Accountant Ashleigh Accountant Ashleigh joined us in December 2022, after having started her career in August 2021. Since joining us, Ashleigh has gained experience in VAT, bookkeeping, and accounts preparation, and has since become a valued member of the accounts department. Ashleigh is currently working towards achieving her AAT qualifications, with ambitions to further her studies and become chartered certified in the future. Outside of the office, Ashleigh has a strong passion for football and sports in general. She enjoys staying active as a casual runner, walking her two dogs, and spending time with her friends and family. Eva Accountant Eva Accountant Eva joined the team in July 2023 as she embarked on her placement year, aiming to enhance her expertise within the accounting world. Eva currently assists the accounts department which further enriches her understanding of accounting practices. Having successfully achieved her AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting, Eva is currently completing her BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance. Her aspiration is to continue broadening her knowledge post-graduation and ultimately attain ACCA qualifications. In her spare time, Eva enjoys playing tennis, singing, and travelling. Rosa Accounts Assistant Rosa Accounts Assistant Rosa joined the team in October 2022 after completing her A-levels in Business, Economics, and Psychology. She has successfully achieved her AAT Level 2 and is currently progressing towards AAT Level 3. In her dual role within the VAT and accounts department, Rosa is gaining hands-on experience and broadening her knowledge of accounting. Rosa is known around the office for her exceptional baking skills, regularly supplying the team with her treats. Outside of work and baking, she enjoys playing netball and spending quality time with her loved ones. Paul Business Coach Paul Business Coach Paul started his business career in 1995 and dedicated over two decades growing and building a successful estate agency from scratch. Having built a strong local reputation and employing over 30 staff, Paul’s business was bought by a competitor in 2018 and since then he has been helping other business owners achieve their own professional and personal goals. Through the application of applying simple but effective techniques, Paul has played a pivotal role in the expansion and success of several of our clients. In his spare time, Paul is a keen golfer but is also involved with voluntary groups and charities where he can apply his knowledge and experience, making a significant contribution. Melanie VAT Team Member Melanie VAT Team Member Mel joined our team in December 2021, having already gained years of bookkeeping experience. Positioned within the VAT department, Mel plays an important role in assisting with the high demand of bookkeeping and VAT return services. Mel has completed AAT Bookkeeping and AAT Accounting Software Levels 1 and 2, as well as AAT Advanced Bookkeeping Level 3. She is currently advancing towards completing her AAT Level 3 in Accounting. Outside of work, Mel engages in Zumba, enjoys quality time with family and friends, and dedicates herself to her garden whenever she has a moment to spare. Will VAT Team Member Will VAT Team Member Will joined the team in July 2024 to work within the VAT department, after beginning his journey in the accounting industry in 2022. Will has over 2 years’ experience in VAT and will play a vital role in supporting the department with the high demand of work. He is currently studying his AAT Level 3 with ambitions to further his development. Outside of the office, Will enjoys spending time with family and friends, and has a passion for football, which includes playing himself, where he has represented Maidstone and Ashford United, as well as frequently going to watch Huddersfield Town Football Club. Jitesh Lead Payroll Assistant Jitesh Lead Payroll Assistant Jitesh joined us in 2018 and is an established payroll specialist, bringing with him 8 years of experience. His expertise encompasses a wide range of essential skills, including precise data entry, and efficient processing of information within our payroll systems. Jitesh is also very proficient in solving complex payroll issues. Outside of the office, Jitesh enjoys playing cricket, and delving into the pages of a good book. Sarah Payroll Assistant Sarah Payroll Assistant Sarah joined the team in March 2021 to work within our administration department. Sarah has been working in administration since 1994 and also has experience in secretarial and HR roles. In April 2025, Sarah shifted focus to payroll, where she now plays a crucial role in managing the high demands of payroll processing. Sarah also liaises with HMRC and can handle all client payroll enquiries. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending quality time with her family and beloved cat, having days out exploring new places, and camping in the great outdoors. Ellie Admin Team Member Ellie Admin Team Member Ellie joined us in July 2017, and has been an integral part of our administration team since. Her role includes all elements of administration and reception duties, from the submission of accounts and tax returns to HMRC and Companies House to onboarding new clients and managing company formations. Additionally, Ellie handles the company’s social media presence. In her spare time, Ellie enjoys keeping fit by regularly going to the gym, exploring new countries, and appreciating time spent with family and friends. Sian Admin Team Member Sian Admin Team Member Sian joined the team in November 2024, bringing over twelve years of experience in administrative and secretarial roles. Her responsibilities cover a wide range of administrative tasks, including onboarding new clients, managing client enquiries both in person and over the phone, as well as liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients. Outside of work, Sian enjoys keeping herself fit by going to the gym and playing netball. She also loves going to support her favourite football team, and diving into a good book. Natalie Admin Team Member Natalie Admin Team Member Natalie joined the team in April 2025 as part of our administration team. Her role includes all aspects of administration and reception duties, as well as managing client records, handling incoming post, and overseeing the Thanet office diary. Outside of work, Natalie enjoys keeping fit through regular exercise and going on long beach walks with her dog. She also enjoys gardening and spending time with her family and friends. Sujata Admin Team Member Sujata Admin Team Member Sujata joined our administration department in May 2021 with a robust 7-year background in administration and office assistance roles. Sujata is tasked with preparing monthly invoices, filing confirmation statements, and managing portal notifications. She has developed proficiency in various in-house tools and platforms. Outside of work, Sujata cherishes spending quality time with family, exploring outdoors, and playing chess with her son. Leo is involved in general practice and specialises in personal and corporate tax, making him a vital asset to our team and clients. As an original founder of the firm, Leo’s extensive knowledge and dedication have been significant in shaping our firm’s success and reputation. Beyond the office, Leo is passionate about squash, gardening, and enjoys spending time with friends and family, particularly watching his kids play football. John Director John Director John qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1977, beginning his career at a firm in the City of London. After gaining valuable experience across various City firms, he founded his own practice in Margate in 1986. With decades of experience, John is highly knowledgeable in all areas of accountancy, offering exceptional insights and services to his clients. Outside the office, John likes jogging and walking. He also enjoys time spent with his family and friends and visiting Cyprus. Lewis Director Lewis Director Since joining the team in 2012, Lewis has been instrumental in helping clients achieve their personal and business goals. Lewis has distinguished himself as an accountant who not only possesses a wealth of knowledge and skills that are used within accounts and taxation, but also maintains excellent relationships with many clients. Lewis’ dedication and expertise led to his appointment as a Director in October 2021. Outside of work, Lewis enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his three cats, as well as engaging in sports, particularly football and golf. Jake Director Jake Director Jake became a key member of our team in May 2013, initially joining to train in our VAT and payroll departments. Jake decided to focus his development within the VAT department, after gaining invaluable experience in both areas. By November 2017, he was promoted to VAT Manager which saw him overseeing a busy VAT department, as well as working with clients to transform their bookkeeping and VAT procedures. Jake marked a significant milestone in his career with us when he was appointed Director in February 2023. Outside of the office, Jake enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends and has a passion for health and fitness. Jake is also a keen footballer, having played semi-professionally, representing both Whitstable Town Football Club and Ramsgate Football Club. Andy Business Consultant Andy Business Consultant Andy, one of the original founders of the company, played an important role in the business’s year-on-year growth until his departure in 2022. His decision to step away was driven by a desire for a better work-life balance, a move that allowed him to pivot into business coaching – a field where he has since excelled. As a seasoned business coach, Andy brings a wealth of expertise in sales, acquisitions, mergers, and financial restructuring. He specialises in helping businesses through difficult transitions, improving operations, and driving growth. Andy’s approach is based on empowering businesses to achieve their full potential while maintaining a keen focus on sustainability and adaptability. Outside of the office, Andy enjoys spending time with his friends and family, and has a passion for football, particularly non-league. Carly Accounts Manager Carly Accounts Manager Carly started her journey with MPH in March 2006, initially joining as a junior staff member. Over the years, she has worked through every department of the firm such as payroll, bookkeeping, VAT, and accounts and this extensive experience has led her to her current role as the Accounts Manager. With a valuable understanding of the firm’s various departments, Carly now ensures a smooth workflow within the accounts team with her attention to detail ensuring that all aspects of our clients’ financial accounts and tax responsibilities are completed with accuracy and care. Outside of work, Carly is a big sports fan. She loves playing basketball for a local team and cheers on Middlesbrough Football Club. When she’s not on the court or watching a match, Carly enjoys cooking for her friends and family, often with a beer or glass of wine in hand. Kellie Administration Manager Kellie Administration Manager Kellie joined us in June 2016 as part of our administration team, bringing with her an extensive background of over twelve years in administration and secretarial roles. By January 2021, Kellie stepped into the role of Administration Manager. Some of Kellie’s duties include the submission of various documents to Companies House and HMRC, handling changes in directorship and shareholding, forming new companies, responding to client enquiries, and ensuring the smooth running of the administration department. In her spare time, Kellie enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and much-loved cats. She enjoys socialising, as well as getting stuck into a good TV series. Oscar VAT Manager Oscar VAT Manager Oscar joined us in August 2015 and trained within different areas of the firm. After gaining experience in all departments, Oscar decided to continue his development within VAT and bookkeeping, and soon became an all-important addition to the team. By April 2024, Oscar welcomed the role as VAT Manager, and now oversees a busy VAT department. Away from the office, Oscar enjoys spending quality time with his friends and family. He is also an avid sports fan, with particular interest in Formula 1, UFC, and boxing. Oscar enjoys playing darts, and the occasional engagement in fitness. Gemma Senior Accountant Gemma Senior Accountant Gemma has been an integral part of our team since joining us in 2001. Gemma qualified as an Accounting Technician in 2005 and is now working towards completing her ATT qualification. Throughout her time, Gemma has contributed her skills and experience across various departments, including payroll, bookkeeping, VAT, and accounts preparation, giving her a good overall knowledge of the firm and how each department operates. Outside of work, Gemma is a keen netball player, having competed in the Thanet netball league with her team for more than two decades. Gemma also enjoys her time outdoors, whether that’s leisurely walks with her dog or embarking on camping adventures with her family. Mark Senior Accountant Mark Senior Accountant Mark trained with a firm of Chartered Accountants prior to joining a firm of Chartered Surveyors as Finance and Client Accounts Manager. Mark then moved to a FTSE100 company where he undertook senior roles including Divisional Finance Director and Contract Operations Manager as well as being a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Mark’s experience within both small and large organisations has provided him with a wealth of first-hand insight into business management/operation/finance to a senior level. More recently Mark has returned to Practice, joining the team at MPH as Senior Accountant in 2017. Mark has a keen interest in the beneficial use of IT systems and business software. Outside of work Mark enjoys hillwalking, kayaking and fishing. Mark is also an accomplished bellringer, having rung more than 650 peals and is a past Captain of the ringers at Canterbury Cathedral. Amber Accountant Amber Accountant Amber began her career in the accounting industry in 2016, with six years spent in practice followed by nearly two years in industry. Since joining us in October 2023, Amber has become a key addition to the accounts department, bringing with her experience and knowledge of accounts, tax, VAT, bookkeeping, and management accounting. Amber is currently part-qualified and has ambitions to be certified in the near future. In her spare time, Amber has a passion for long-distance running, and also enjoys music and exploring new food cuisines. Ashleigh Accountant Ashleigh Accountant Ashleigh joined us in December 2022, after having started her career in August 2021. Since joining us, Ashleigh has gained experience in VAT, bookkeeping, and accounts preparation, and has since become a valued member of the accounts department. Ashleigh is currently working towards achieving her AAT qualifications, with ambitions to further her studies and become chartered certified in the future. Outside of the office, Ashleigh has a strong passion for football and sports in general. She enjoys staying active as a casual runner, walking her two dogs, and spending time with her friends and family. Eva Accountant Eva Accountant Eva joined the team in July 2023 as she embarked on her placement year, aiming to enhance her expertise within the accounting world. Eva currently assists the accounts department which further enriches her understanding of accounting practices. Having successfully achieved her AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting, Eva is currently completing her BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance. Her aspiration is to continue broadening her knowledge post-graduation and ultimately attain ACCA qualifications. In her spare time, Eva enjoys playing tennis, singing, and travelling. Rosa Accounts Assistant Rosa Accounts Assistant Rosa joined the team in October 2022 after completing her A-levels in Business, Economics, and Psychology. She has successfully achieved her AAT Level 2 and is currently progressing towards AAT Level 3. In her dual role within the VAT and accounts department, Rosa is gaining hands-on experience and broadening her knowledge of accounting. Rosa is known around the office for her exceptional baking skills, regularly supplying the team with her treats. Outside of work and baking, she enjoys playing netball and spending quality time with her loved ones. Paul Business Coach Paul Business Coach Paul started his business career in 1995 and dedicated over two decades growing and building a successful estate agency from scratch. Having built a strong local reputation and employing over 30 staff, Paul’s business was bought by a competitor in 2018 and since then he has been helping other business owners achieve their own professional and personal goals. Through the application of applying simple but effective techniques, Paul has played a pivotal role in the expansion and success of several of our clients. In his spare time, Paul is a keen golfer but is also involved with voluntary groups and charities where he can apply his knowledge and experience, making a significant contribution. Melanie VAT Team Member Melanie VAT Team Member Mel joined our team in December 2021, having already gained years of bookkeeping experience. Positioned within the VAT department, Mel plays an important role in assisting with the high demand of bookkeeping and VAT return services. Mel has completed AAT Bookkeeping and AAT Accounting Software Levels 1 and 2, as well as AAT Advanced Bookkeeping Level 3. She is currently advancing towards completing her AAT Level 3 in Accounting. Outside of work, Mel engages in Zumba, enjoys quality time with family and friends, and dedicates herself to her garden whenever she has a moment to spare. Will VAT Team Member Will VAT Team Member Will joined the team in July 2024 to work within the VAT department, after beginning his journey in the accounting industry in 2022. Will has over 2 years’ experience in VAT and will play a vital role in supporting the department with the high demand of work. He is currently studying his AAT Level 3 with ambitions to further his development. Outside of the office, Will enjoys spending time with family and friends, and has a passion for football, which includes playing himself, where he has represented Maidstone and Ashford United, as well as frequently going to watch Huddersfield Town Football Club. Jitesh Lead Payroll Assistant Jitesh Lead Payroll Assistant Jitesh joined us in 2018 and is an established payroll specialist, bringing with him 8 years of experience. His expertise encompasses a wide range of essential skills, including precise data entry, and efficient processing of information within our payroll systems. Jitesh is also very proficient in solving complex payroll issues. Outside of the office, Jitesh enjoys playing cricket, and delving into the pages of a good book. Sarah Payroll Assistant Sarah Payroll Assistant Sarah joined the team in March 2021 to work within our administration department. Sarah has been working in administration since 1994 and also has experience in secretarial and HR roles. In April 2025, Sarah shifted focus to payroll, where she now plays a crucial role in managing the high demands of payroll processing. Sarah also liaises with HMRC and can handle all client payroll enquiries. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending quality time with her family and beloved cat, having days out exploring new places, and camping in the great outdoors. Ellie Admin Team Member Ellie Admin Team Member Ellie joined us in July 2017, and has been an integral part of our administration team since. Her role includes all elements of administration and reception duties, from the submission of accounts and tax returns to HMRC and Companies House to onboarding new clients and managing company formations. Additionally, Ellie handles the company’s social media presence. In her spare time, Ellie enjoys keeping fit by regularly going to the gym, exploring new countries, and appreciating time spent with family and friends. Sian Admin Team Member Sian Admin Team Member Sian joined the team in November 2024, bringing over twelve years of experience in administrative and secretarial roles. Her responsibilities cover a wide range of administrative tasks, including onboarding new clients, managing client enquiries both in person and over the phone, as well as liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients. Outside of work, Sian enjoys keeping herself fit by going to the gym and playing netball. She also loves going to support her favourite football team, and diving into a good book. Natalie Admin Team Member Natalie Admin Team Member Natalie joined the team in April 2025 as part of our administration team. Her role includes all aspects of administration and reception duties, as well as managing client records, handling incoming post, and overseeing the Thanet office diary.
