Keeley Salmon "I started at Anthony Russel in 2012 as an apprentice and they supported me through my three years of AAT training. I started off doing easier tasks and as I gained more experience I was able to do more challenging work such as accounts production and tax returns. Upon joining, I was qualified to AAT level 3 and Anthony Russel have given me the opportunity to continue and to support me with my AAT studies. We have a happy working environment, everyone works as a team in a really friendly atmosphere. Hannah Kelly I joined Anthony Russel in April 2021, when I was 19 years old. I joined as a Bookkeeping assistant after doing my A-Levels at Sixth Form. Since then, I have been educated both in the office, and out at college. I have just completed my Level 2 AAT, and have started to progress through my Level 3, as part of my apprenticeship course.I have really enjoyed my time studying at college, as I have developed friendships with many other students of which I started with, and will co-operate with until we have finished our AAT’s. The learning environment is especially motivating, as tutors and classmates become very familiar with each other, so no one will fall behind.Anthony Russel has a great working environment because we are always supporting one another in our work, which helps create strong relationships with each other.I am very grateful for the flexibility at Anthony Russel, as it allows me to choose the hours that work best for me and my schedule, so I can balance my work and personal life.Some of my favourite memories from Anthony Russel come from trips and do’s, such as our trip to the Shard in London, where we had lovely views, and fantastic food. Callum Wright I have worked at Anthony Russel since 2021, previously to working at AR I was in the hairdressing industry. I started as an apprentice when I left school completing my NVQ level 1,2 and 3 working my way up to assistant manager. I travelled by car through France, Switzerland, Italy, Monaco and Cannes. The great thing about this holiday is that it felt like I had complete freedom while I was travelling. We did not book hotels in advance so we could stay in each place as long as we like and could move on if bad weather was predicted. I love going to the gym as it is a good way to push yourself and relieve stress. My favourite gym class is Clubbercise. This is a dance workout with glow sticks and disco lights to club anthems. It is a very fun way of keeping fit!I also enjoy going to see live bands. I think the atmosphere at concerts is fantastic and it is great to be surrounded by other fans of your favourite bands. I have seen some amazing live bands over the years including Green Day and Foo Fighters.Best HolidayThe best holiday I have been on is when I went to New York in 2012. I was amazed by how busy the streets were. We went to the top of the Rockefeller Centre which gave us an incredible view of all the main attractions of New York including the Empire State Building and Central Park.My favourite part of New York was Times Square. The bright lights of the billboards and advertisements were unlike anything I had ever seen before. I also enjoy going shopping and New York was the perfect place to do this. While I was there we visited two of the best department stores in the world, Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s. My weekends are often spent competing at or watching horse shows.Best holiday...My best holiday so far has been a six week road trip around New Zealand. We took a tent and travelled as little or as far as we felt like each day, often pitching up beside a lake or a beach. I also deliver our Xero training programme. How can I help you?I can help you to keep your bookkeeping records up to date and to ensure that your VAT returns are filed on time. I can also assist with CIS queries and provide you with Xero support.HobbiesI enjoy spending time outdoors, I own a campervan, and enjoy exploring. I also have three dogs which I take along and spend a lot of time walking. Live music is another of my hobbies, I try to go as often as I can. I also love nice food and enjoy eating out at good restaurants.Best HolidayThe best holiday I have had was Jamaica in 2006. This was also my wedding and we were lucky enough to have all of our family and friends with us. We stayed in a lodge which was on the beach and the setting was beautiful. I did horse riding in the sea, swam with dolphins and climbed Dunn’s River Falls. The locals made us feel so welcome and even played a steel band on our special day. I have completed my AAT studies and am now working towards my ACCA qualification to become a certified accountant. How can I help you?I can help you with queries regarding your statutory company accounts, sole trader accounts, bookkeeping, VAT returns, MTD, self- assessment tax and various other personal taxes such as capital gains tax. I can also help with queries on Xero.HobbiesI enjoy various sports such as football and motor racing. I support Liverpool FC as my football team though I travel with my friends all over the country supporting my friend’s teams as getting tickets is a lot easier. I often go to various motor sporting events including going to Milan for the F1 Grand Prix at Monza. I also enjoy playing pool and I will go to my local club in Chelmsford almost every weekend. Best HolidayI have had many great holidays over the years but one of my favourite was when I when on a driving holiday for 2 weeks travelling through France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. We stayed in the Stubai Valley in Austria which is situated in the Austrian Alps where we were staying at an altitude of around 1000m above sea level with its highest peaks and glaciers at 3500m above sea level so the views and climbing experience is simply incredible. I like eating out and enjoying going out with my friends.Best HolidayI have been to quite a few places but when I was younger I went to Australia which is a place I would love to go back to. The constant warmth and view of the blue sea, and seeing really brightly coloured fish in the sea as you walk along the shore is amazing. I have gained Levels 2 and 3 and am studying for Level 4. I primarily am a bookkeeping assistant, and contribute to the processing of VAT and CIS returns.How can I help you?If you are signed up for the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), it would be my responsibility to deduct and calculate what you either owe, or are owed. I can also calculate this for VAT returns. HobbiesI usually spend my free time either online with my friends, or out with them on weekends. I frequently watch football, and usually make time to watch English and Welsh national teams. Most of my family is Welsh, so a few times during the year, I will get the train across to see my Mum and cousins.Best HolidayThe best Holiday I have been on was Florida in 2015. My family and I stayed a stunning villa, and visited Disney, Universal Studios, Cocoa Beach and Discovery Cove. I enjoyed Discovery Cove the most because we swam with Dolphins. There was also a large area where you could swim with all kinds of tropical fish and sting rays. I definitely would like to see more of America, and go to the Grand Canyon, New York City, Gary Indiana, and San Francisco.
