We mainly use Sacro-Occipital Technique which also includes craniopathy and CMRT (Chiropractic Manipulative Reflex Technique) which is a technique developed by Dr DeJarnette (who first qualified as an osteopath and later as a chiropractor) to correct imbalances within the visceral system. It was whilst at university that I met my husband Steve. After graduation we both started work at Nantwich Chiropractic Clinic in Cheshire where I worked towards my Diploma of Chiropractic.Since then we have established further clinics in Shrewsbury and our home town of Stone in Staffordshire. I currently work in our clinics in Stone and Nantwich.From the first time I adjusted someone I have been able to see the huge benefits that chiropractic can offer people. Since the birth of our daughter Emma I have been particularly interested in providing holistic care for families. Our primary goal at our clinics is to improve the health of families through chiropractic care and advice on diet and lifestyle. In 2008 I started to study Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT), a holistic form of chiropractic using gentle techniques to correct imbalances within the spine and nervous system. I have since gained post-graduate certification in SOT to become a board-certified Sacro-Occipital Technique practitioner. I live in Stone, Staffordshire with my husband Steve and daughter Emma. I have taken part in sprint triathlons, run the Bath Half Marathon and the Great North Run and have completed the London Marathon. We stay healthy as a family by eating nutritious food, exercising daily and maintaining correct spinal function through regular chiropractic check-ups. I could not believe the difference that it made. Since then in my early teens I knew that I wanted to be a chiropractor. I attended the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic at Glamorgan University where I studied Chiropractic which encompassed many different subjects including anatomy and physiology, pathology, radiography, nutrition and of course chiropractic techniques. After successful completion of the four-year course I graduated in 2002 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Chiropractic and later gained my Diploma of Chiropractic. I have also given presentations on Chiropractic to consultants and GPs at Shrewsbury Hospital as well as local physiotherapists.Since the first time that I adjusted someone, I have been able to see first-hand the benefits that chiropractic can provide to everyone from any age. When my daughter Emma was born in 2007 she suffered a strain to her upper neck that started to cause plagiocephaly (distortion of the skull). Using a gentle method of chiropractic called Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) to her neck and cranium the problem was corrected safely and naturally. Since then I have gone on to study SOT, having attended all of the UK modules I took the examination and gained certification in Sacro Occipital Technique. I have also studied additional areas of chiropractic including craniopathy (cranial chiropractic), organ soft tissue reflexes (Chiropractic Manipulative Reflex Technique), paediatrics and sports injuries. I have been fortunate over my time in practice to work with some professional athletes from boxing, cricket, skiing and cycling helping them to be at the top of their game. I have also undertaken some training in Functional Medicine enrolling on the Academy of Chiropractic Nutrition course and attending seminars by the Nutritional Medicine Institute. My wife (Xanthe) and I met whilst studying for our chiropractic degree at university and after graduating at the same time in 2002 we started work as associates at Nantwich Chiropractic Clinic in Cheshire (we later took ownership of this clinic in 2004). A year later we established Castle Chiropractic Clinic in Shrewsbury and in 2011 we set up Lawrence Chiropractic in Stone, Staffordshire. In 2024 I left the clinic in Shrewsbury and now work between Nantwich and Stone.At our chiropractic centres in Nantwich and Stone we are passionate about helping people of all ages achieve the best health possible through Chiropractic care and advice on lifestyle and nutrition. I am a keen sportsman having taken part in various triathlons throughout the UK as well as completing the Zell Am See 70.3 Ironman in just over 5 hours. As a family we stay healthy by eating good nutritious, home-made food, exercising daily and receiving regular chiropractic care. After reading a book by Wim Hof and researching the benefits of cold water therapy I also take a dip in our cold plunge most mornings.
