Initially qualified and worked as a medical officer specialising in Cardio-respiratory medicine. After completing 5 years clinical and research work at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle Upon Tyne, he attended the University of Northumbria, graduating in 1994 with an honours degree in Physiotherapy. Steve returned to the NHS before establishing Aspen Physiotherapy Clinic in 1995 and specialising in treating Pain / Musculoskeletal conditions. Steve has provided physiotherapy services for the British Olympic squad and Royal Yachting Association (RYA), as well as professional athletes and performers including; footballers, golfers, cricketers, track and field athletes, professional dancers, musicians and actors. Steve writes, researches and lectures about physiotherapy related subjects, including; pain, neuroscience, rehabilitation medicine and manual therapy. He previously worked as editor-in-chief for the ‘Journal of the Physiotherapy Pain Association. Steve’s writing and research work has been published internationally in peer reviewed text books, journals and periodicals. He held the position of Honorary education officer to the Physiotherapy Pain Association (north) for 5-years. Steve retired from this position and that of editor-in-chief to focus on further writing and research work within Aspen Health Sciences. Steve is a Clinical Director of Aspen Health Sciences. Aspen Health Sciences is a research and training organisation dedicated to providing the highest quality, evidence based scientific literature and clinical training courses for health professionals involved in treating people with pain. Kayleigh Byers BSc (Hons), Msc, M.C.S.P, S.R.P Kayleigh originally attained an honours degree in Physiological Sciences at Newcastle University. She went on to study Physiotherapy at Masters level at the University of Northumbria, ultimately graduating with a Masters degree in Physiotherapy. She joined Steve Robson at Aspen Physiotherapy Clinic in August 2011. Kayleigh has a passion and specialist interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and pain. She has conducted research into inversion therapy and low back health in the past. Kayleigh has provided physiotherapy support to Gateshead Thunder Rugby League team and has also worked with the physiotherapists at Tynedale Rugby Football Club. Julie Stoves Robson Partner Julie has worked in the clinic since Jan 2016 although has been a partner since 1995. She worked for social services for 23 years managing various services for people with a learning disability. She delivered a variety of training and specialised for many years in person centred planning. This involved ensuring the person was the primary focus, supporting them to achieve their dreams and ambitions. She also worked an occupational therapy assistant for a year assessing people for aids and adaptions which enabled them to stay living in their home. Until April 2024 she was a consultant for Slimming world helping people to lose weight in a sensible sustainable way and has a fabulous friendly group at Prudhoe Jo Lewis Admin Clerk Jo has worked at the clinic since October 2014.Previously she worked at Rochdale MBC as a personal assistant to Head of information and e- government before re-locating to the Northeast in 2010. Jo loves walking, running and socialising!​Jo works Monday and Tuesday and is on hand to answer your call and do her upmost to assist you in booking an appointment at your convenience and to deal with any general enquiries you may have. Jade Robinson Admin Clerk Jade began her work at the clinic July 2023. Previously she worked within the hospitality industry as a Beauty Therapist and Spa Manager. She also worked as an Ambulance Call Handler for the NHS. She works at the clinic Thursdays and Fridays and is happy to help you with any queries and organise any appoinments. She has a positive can do approach and always figures a way to do things. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her family and walking their dog Spencer. Kira Robson Cute Clinic Dog! Kira is 11 years old and began her career at the clinic when she was 2. Fully qualified in charm and cuteness. She began training at a young age and when she chooses she can do most things asked of her. She enjoys lying in her bed, rummaging in the bin and loves the occasional massage. She is growing in confidence and sometimes barks as she thinks she owns the place! She loves meeting people but can be kept away. We are the longest established physiotherapy clinic within the Tyne Valley and surrounding areas, keeping our clients moving since 1995! At Aspen Physiotherapy Clinic we endeavour to provide high quality, evidence–based and individualised assessment, examination, treatment and rehabilitation. Pain in particular is our forte, whether it is of recent onset or long-term, persistent pain. We provide expert advice on the ‘truth about pain’ as well as providing the tools that are essential in helping you to reduce, improve, manage and recover from your pain.We also provide dedicated ‘sports massage only’ appointments for clients who have no underlying injuries or conditions that would require medical screening and clinical examination. All consultations are carried out by state registered/chartered physiotherapists, registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). We are also registered with all major healthcare providers. Our goal has always been to provide you with our honest clinical opinions and advice on the basis of a comprehensive clinical examination, underpinned by the very best scientific evidence available. we will never ask you to ‘sign up’ in advance for long courses of treatment or multiple repeated sessions of treatment. At the Broonhaugh roundabout take the 2nd exit and join the A695. Follow the A695 for approximately 4 miles going through the villages of Stocksfield and Mickley until you reach the turn off for Prudhoe. Go straight along Front Street to the the far end where we are located on the left just after the East Centre. The nearest bus stop is at Prudhoe Waterworld. By Rail – The nearest railway station is Low Prudhoe (approximately 3/4 mile from the town centre) which is on the Tyne Valley line running between Carlisle and Newcastle. Initially qualified and worked as a medical officer specialising in Cardio-respiratory medicine. After completing 5 years clinical and research work at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle Upon Tyne, he attended the University of Northumbria, graduating in 1994 with an honours degree in Physiotherapy. Steve returned to the NHS before establishing Aspen Physiotherapy Clinic in 1995 and specialising in treating Pain / Musculoskeletal conditions. Steve has provided physiotherapy services for the British Olympic squad and Royal Yachting Association (RYA), as well as professional athletes and performers including; footballers, golfers, cricketers, track and field athletes, professional dancers, musicians and actors. Steve writes, researches and lectures about physiotherapy related subjects, including; pain, neuroscience, rehabilitation medicine and manual therapy. He previously worked as editor-in-chief for the ‘Journal of the Physiotherapy Pain Association. Steve’s writing and research work has been published internationally in peer reviewed text books, journals and periodicals. He held the position of Honorary education officer to the Physiotherapy Pain Association (north) for 5-years. Steve retired from this position and that of editor-in-chief to focus on further writing and research work within Aspen Health Sciences. Steve is a Clinical Director of Aspen Health Sciences. Aspen Health Sciences is a research and training organisation dedicated to providing the highest quality, evidence based scientific literature and clinical training courses for health professionals involved in treating people with pain. Kayleigh Byers BSc (Hons), Msc, M.C.S.P, S.R.P Kayleigh originally attained an honours degree in Physiological Sciences at Newcastle University. She went on to study Physiotherapy at Masters level at the University of Northumbria, ultimately graduating with a Masters degree in Physiotherapy. She joined Steve Robson at Aspen Physiotherapy Clinic in August 2011. Kayleigh has a passion and specialist interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and pain. She has conducted research into inversion therapy and low back health in the past. Kayleigh has provided physiotherapy support to Gateshead Thunder Rugby League team and has also worked with the physiotherapists at Tynedale Rugby Football Club. Julie Stoves Robson Partner Julie has worked in the clinic since Jan 2016 although has been a partner since 1995. She worked for social services for 23 years managing various services for people with a learning disability. She delivered a variety of training and specialised for many years in person centred planning. This involved ensuring the person was the primary focus, supporting them to achieve their dreams and ambitions. She also worked an occupational therapy assistant for a year assessing people for aids and adaptions which enabled them to stay living in their home. At the Broonhaugh roundabout take the 2nd exit and join the A695. The nearest bus stop is at Prudhoe Waterworld. By Rail – The nearest railway station is Low Prudhoe (approximately 3/4 mile from the town centre) which is on the Tyne Valley line running between Carlisle and Newcastle. There is a regular bus service (service 604) between the railway station and the town centre. Initially qualified and worked as a medical officer specialising in Cardio-respiratory medicine. After completing 5 years clinical and research work at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle Upon Tyne, he attended the University of Northumbria, graduating in 1994 with an honours degree in Physiotherapy. Steve returned to the NHS before establishing Aspen Physiotherapy Clinic in 1995 and specialising in treating Pain / Musculoskeletal conditions. Steve has provided physiotherapy services for the British Olympic squad and Royal Yachting Association (RYA), as well as professional athletes and performers including; footballers, golfers, cricketers, track and field athletes, professional dancers, musicians and actors. Steve writes, researches and lectures about physiotherapy related subjects, including; pain, neuroscience, rehabilitation medicine and manual therapy. He previously worked as editor-in-chief for the ‘Journal of the Physiotherapy Pain Association. Steve’s writing and research work has been published internationally in peer reviewed text books, journals and periodicals. He held the position of Honorary education officer to the Physiotherapy Pain Association (north) for 5-years. Steve retired from this position and that of editor-in-chief to focus on further writing and research work within Aspen Health Sciences. Steve is a Clinical Director of Aspen Health Sciences. Aspen Health Sciences is a research and training organisation dedicated to providing the highest quality, evidence based scientific literature and clinical training courses for health professionals involved in treating people with pain. Kayleigh Byers BSc (Hons), Msc, M.C.S.P, S.R.P Kayleigh originally attained an honours degree in Physiological Sciences at Newcastle University. She went on to study Physiotherapy at Masters level at the University of Northumbria, ultimately graduating with a Masters degree in Physiotherapy. She joined Steve Robson at Aspen Physiotherapy Clinic in August 2011. Kayleigh has a passion and specialist interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and pain. She has conducted research into inversion therapy and low back health in the past. Kayleigh has provided physiotherapy support to Gateshead Thunder Rugby League team and has also worked with the physiotherapists at Tynedale Rugby Football Club. Julie Stoves Robson Partner Julie has worked in the clinic since Jan 2016 although has been a partner since 1995. She worked for social services for 23 years managing various services for people with a learning disability. She delivered a variety of training and specialised for many years in person centred planning. This involved ensuring the person was the primary focus, supporting them to achieve their dreams and ambitions. She also worked an occupational therapy assistant for a year assessing people for aids and adaptions which enabled them to stay living in their home. Until April 2024 she was a consultant for Slimming world helping people to lose weight in a sensible sustainable way and has a fabulous friendly group at Prudhoe Jo Lewis Admin Clerk Jo has worked at the clinic since October 2014.Previously she worked at Rochdale MBC as a personal assistant to Head of information and e- government before re-locating to the Northeast in 2010. Jo loves walking, running and socialising!​Jo works Monday and Tuesday and is on hand to answer your call and do her upmost to assist you in booking an appointment at your convenience and to deal with any general enquiries you may have. Jade Robinson Admin Clerk Jade began her work at the clinic July 2023. Previously she worked within the hospitality industry as a Beauty Therapist and Spa Manager. She also worked as an Ambulance Call Handler for the NHS. She works at the clinic Thursdays and Fridays and is happy to help you with any queries and organise any appoinments. She has a positive can do approach and always figures a way to do things. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her family and walking their dog Spencer. Kira Robson Cute Clinic Dog! Kira is 11 years old and began her career at the clinic when she was 2. Fully qualified in charm and cuteness. She began training at a young age and when she chooses she can do most things asked of her. She enjoys lying in her bed, rummaging in the bin and loves the occasional massage. She is growing in confidence and sometimes barks as she thinks she owns the place! She loves meeting people but can be kept away. We are the longest established physiotherapy clinic within the Tyne Valley and surrounding areas, keeping our clients moving since 1995! Whether this has been helping to keep them active in their sporting pursuits, supporting them through injury rehabilitation, preoperative and post-operative rehabilitation, or in treating, managing, advising and educating them about their pain. At Aspen Physiotherapy Clinic we endeavour to provide high quality, evidence–based and individualised assessment, examination, treatment and rehabilitation. Pain in particular is our forte, whether it is of recent onset or long-term, persistent pain. We provide expert advice on the ‘truth about pain’ as well as providing the tools that are essential in helping you to reduce, improve, manage and recover from your pain.We also provide dedicated ‘sports massage only’ appointments for clients who have no underlying injuries or conditions that would require medical screening and clinical examination. All consultations are carried out by state registered/chartered physiotherapists, registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). We are also registered with all major healthcare providers. Our goal has always been to provide you with our honest clinical opinions and advice on the basis of a comprehensive clinical examination, underpinned by the very best scientific evidence available. we will never ask you to ‘sign up’ in advance for long courses of treatment or multiple repeated sessions of treatment.
