If there are any areas that you feel that we could improve, please let us know.In the Beginning…Energess SURVEYS was formed in 2008 by our founding member and Managing Director Chris Hunter, at a time when the Government and the European Union were introducing new Legislation and Regulations to reduce Carbon Emissions and improve Energy Performance of Buildings, across the Property Market and Building Industry.We initially began providing Energy Performance Certificates to Home-Owners, Letting Agents, Estate Agents and Solicitors for the ‘Sale’, 'Buy to Let' and ‘Rental’ market, however it soon became apparent that the North East required a reliable and trusted company that could supply a range of property surveys.Our Growth…Going from strength to strength it was clear that Chris couldn’t meet his current clients’ requirements on his own, especially with the launch of the new Green Deal and ECO schemes that allowed householders to improve the energy efficiency of their homes and offices.Therefore, Chris began utilising his 36 years of experience and contacts within the construction industry to build a team of like-minded reliable surveyors, assessors and tradespeople. This also allowed him to provide Legionella Risk Assessments, Asbestos Surveys, Floor Plans, Landlord Gas Safe Certificates and Electrical Condition Reports to new and existing clients.But our growth didn’t stop there, through our growing nucleus of vetted and trusted tradespeople, we began offering maintenance and refurbishment works, specifically for the rental and buy to let market. Since launching these additional services we have maintained and refurbished hundreds of properties, that have required anything from simply fixing a water leak, a boiler or a broken window, to full property refurbishments including new kitchens, bathrooms, plastering, tiling, painting and roofs.
