This allows realignment of the spine and pelvis to restore the correct function the musculoskeletal and nervous systems and alleviate associated muscle spasm. TrainingI hold a First Class Honours Degree in Animal Science (BSc) from Newcastle University, which allowed me to have a firm foundation of knowledge on all things related to animal welfare, nutrition, biomechanics and body systems. My journey to become a canine and equine chiropractor then took me to The McTimoney College of Chiropractic where I gained my Masters in Animal Manipulation (chiropractic) and level 6 in Animal Therapy.BackgroundI have been heavily involved in the equestrian industry my entire life I have worked in several professional showjumping, eventing, racing, producing and stud yards. This gave me great insight into where equine chiropractors and massage therapists can be vital in the maintenance and rehabilitation of all types of horses, inspiring me to embark on my journey to become an equine chiropractor. In my spare time I compete my own showjumper.RAMP MemberAs a McTimoney Canine and Equine Chiropractor I am a member of both RAMP (Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners) and The MAA (McTimoney Animal Association). This can give clients and vets peace of mind that my work is upheld to the highest standard and I am continually expanding my knowledge to keep up with an ever changing industry.FEI Permitted Equine TherapistI am also a FEI Permitted Equine Therapist, meaning I am able to offer equine chiropractic and massage treatments to my clients whilst they are competing at FEI shows. Treatment following competition can help to aid recovery.
