He took time to thoroughly assess my feet, gait and posture and discovered tibia varum the actual biomechanical cause. With TLC custom orthotics and footwear recommendations, I am now able to walk and stand comfortably, without pain. After many GP and surgical consultations, I was resigned to thinking my injury was arthritis combined with a sesamoid fracture Nobody at this point had mentioned podiatry. I found the Yorkshire foot clinic through my own research (thank you Internet) and booked in with Jonathan Stanley who expertly pointed to root cause being foot rotation, twisting of the hips and shoulder rotation causing excessive stress on the big toe whilst running. I was an ideal candidate for orthotics. I can't thank the team at Yorkshire foot clinic enough for their expertise.
