Is Chiropractic Safe? Chiropractic treatment is one of the safest forms of treatment when performed by properly qualified and registered chiropractors. Our chiropractors will be more than happy to put your mind at ease regarding any concerns you may have. What is the difference between an osteopath and a chiropractor? Chiropractors and osteopaths graduate with a similar educational background. However, chiropractors are taught to take and read x-rays and there are some differences in the approach of the two professions with chiropractors concentrating more on adjustments to re-establish the normal function of the musculoskeletal system. Can I have treatment now that I am pregnant? Chiropractic can be of great benefit to pregnant mums. The rapid postural changes to a mother’s body during pregnancy can cause various joint pains. Our chiropractors are trained in specific, gentle techniques that help the musculoskeletal system adapt to cope with these changes throughout the pregnancy. Am I too young/too old for chiropractic care? Chiropractic care is suitable for all ages, including babies as young as a few days old. We offer free baby checks following all births. As we get older we need to retain our mobility and chiropractic care can help with this. How often do I need to have treatment? This depends upon many factors surrounding your condition : the length of time you have had it; the type of condition; and your input and commitment relating to rehabilitation. In many cases significant improvement will take place during the first 3-4 treatments, and 2-3 more treatments over a period of time may be needed to stabilise the condition. However, every case is assessed individually and your chiropractor will advise a treatment plan specifically for you. It is very important that after the initial treatment plan that you and your chiropractor discuss the best way to maintain your condition. How can I find out if chiropractic is suitable for me? Her patients have a wide age range with the youngest being a few minutes old and the oldest being 92 and her clinic has an emphasis on family care. Amanda graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, Bournemouth with an upper second-class BSc Honours Chiropractic degree and a Master of Science in Chiropractic in 1998. She is a registered member of the General Chiropractic Council (GCC). Amanda has a Masters in Paediatric Chiropractic, and is a Fellow of the College of Chiropractors paediatric faculty. She is also qualified in Applied Kinesiology. Luke Griffiths Chiropractor BSc (Hons) MSc Luke has a huge passion for sports primarily swimming where he competed at a national level. Following an acute shoulder injury at an important time of his swimming life it was recommended that he should see a chiropractor.The chiropractor not only treated the injury but also looked into the source of the issue, this enabled further improvement and injury prevention not only in swimming but also in day to day life. From that time Luke was inspired to pursue a career in chiropractic, his motivated drive for overall patient well-being enables him to give the best possible care for each and every individual. Luke has a pleasant and friendly personality and enjoys treating patients of all ages and backgrounds. Ellie Weldon Chiropractor MChiro MSc APP (Paeds) MRCC (Paeds) DC Ellie first became interested in chiropractic after receiving treatment for chronic back pain and whiplash following a road traffic accident. She had lower back pain and neck pain with headaches that no amount of stretching or painkillers could get on top of. Her mother decided to take her for a check-up at her chiropractor after months of her moaning. A couple of sessions later she began to gain more movement but with less pain! It was the most fascinating thing she had seen. Her chiropractor was able to tell her all about herself, what she had been doing (and usually what she had done that shouldn’t have!). Upon graduation Ellie was fortunate enough to be offered an associate position at an award-winning teaching clinic in Aberdeenshire. The owner of the clinic had a special interest in pregnancy and paediatrics and in fact taught many courses on these subjects. Ellie was able to gain valuable experience in treating many people, not just the pregnant and paediatric populations. She has seen a variety of people, ages and conditions. Her youngest patient was 2 days old with her eldest being 92 years! Jamie attended the Anglo European College of Chiropractic where he graduated with a Masters degree in 2022. The Therapists Ashish Physiotherapist B.P.T, MSc, PG Dip, PG Cert Ashish is a chartered physiotherapist qualified in 2001. He has been working in private practice since 2010. He is also currently working as a lead physiotherapist in the NHS for a chronic pain management service. Ashish treats a wide range of conditions (sport and non-sporting conditions) using the ethos of empowering self-management wherever possible. He is passionate about rehabilitation whether it is an acute sports injury or a persistent long term pain. To aid this, he has completed extensive post-graduate trainings. He possesses a wide range of treatment skills, which involves Manual therapy, Acupuncture, sports therapy and Taping etc. He has completed MSc. in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. He is an independent non-medical prescriber, which means he can write a private prescription for some pain medicines. He has also completed post-graduate diploma in injection therapy and can do steroid injections in and around joints to provide pain relief. He is also a qualified DSE assessor and can help with work related pain. Ashish is married and blessed with a daughter, during his free time he enjoys running and cycling with his daughter. Seeing the difference she could make quickly became a passion. Ruby attended Birmingham Metropolitan College and graduated in 2011. She began working in award winning luxury spas. From this she gained experience quickly. She then moved to work in a chiropractic clinic, working closely alongside the other clinicians to help people obtain their health goals as quickly as possible. With experience Ruby has been able to tailor her massages to suit the individual. She thoroughly enjoys helping people relax, de-stress and become free of pain. Nicole Counsellor BSc, PG Dip, MSc Sanctuary Counselling Services Nicole has always been interested in behavioural patterns and the Psychology behind understanding them. Growing up, she watched someone she was close to struggle with depression and didn’t know how to help. So, in adulthood, she decided to take a more proactive stance and dedicate her life to supporting those experiencing similar issues. Nicole attended Staffordshire University where she spent numerous years studying Counselling and Psychology. She graduated with a first class BSc in Psychology and Counselling (Hons), a postgraduate diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and more recently, a MSc in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. Nicole predominantly works from a Person Centred approach to Counselling. However, was trained from an Integrative approach which means she has the knowledge and is able to work from numerous modalities, including CBT, Systemic Therapy and ACT. Alongside Sanctuary Counselling Services, Nicole works for a Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault organisation where she offers specialised Counselling. Amanda Green has been working as a chiropractor at Fraser House Clinic since 1998. She has a Master of Science degree in chiropractic paediatrics which encompasses the diagnosis and treatment of pregnant women, infants and children and she is an Applied Kinesiology practitioner which includes cranial therapy and dietary advice. Luke Griffiths graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, Bournemouth with an upper second-class BSc Honours Degree in Human Sciences and a Master of Science in Chiropractic. Luke has a pleasant and friendly personality and enjoys treating patients of all ages and backgrounds. He strives to help with pain relief and improve quality of life. Treatment involves diversified technique and myofascial work whilst looking into functional issues that may be the underlying cause of the patient’s pain. Ellie Weldon graduated from the University of South Wales with MChiro and a post graduate certificate in Paediatric Musculoskeletal Health from AECC. Ellie has a Master of Science degree in chiropractic paediatrics which encompasses the diagnosis and treatment of pregnant women, infants and children. Ellie previously worked at an award-winning teaching clinic in Aberdeenshire where she gained valuable experience treating many patients, not just the pregnant and paediatric populations.
